1919: "War Tax" overprints, three Proofs on separate cards, two unadopted, all reading "WAR TAX / 1 d." or "1 d. / WAR TAX", all in black with one (Gibbons Type 21) annotated "Approved WHM 3/2/19" in black ink, two with slight thins, oe with diagonal crease, presumably due to removal from DLR collection, neither affecting the fine appearance.
