1881 (July 1): 1 c. vermilion on yellowish, plate I, imperforate, a vertical strip of five (positions 10 / 50) with single 1882 2 c. purple, plate II, first printing, used on underpaid 1884 cover to New York endorsed "par Alversa", tied by "Jeremie / Haiti" circular datestamps (April 25) in black. Underpaid 3 cents on despatch and struck with triangular "T" marking and manuscript "3 cts." in blue crayon. Double deficiency charged on arrival with half-round "US CHARGE TO COLLECT" and "6 Cents" due marking in black. Reverse with pair of US 3 c. Postage Dues.
