    1881 (July 1): 1 c. vermilion on yellowish, plate I, imperforate, a used horizontal strip of four (positions 32-35), large margins all round, tied to 1883 cover from Cap Haitien by ship to Port au Prince by "Port au Prince / Haiti" arrival datestamps (June 3). File fold affects the first stamp otherwise an exceptional #1 cover in the fine quality, the 4 cent rate paying the local double rate for a cover over 15 grams. The sole recorded example of this franking, unique.
