    1881c.: Essays (2) for a 25 c. value (an unutilised value), with the first Essay being photographic on white card (66 x 39 mm.) with  country denomination larger and "POSTES" removed; together with a vertical format Essay on grey-brown card (45 x 55 mm.) showing the head-plate vignette outlined in black ink inset into frame. Believed to have been produced by Pierre Mahé RDP in Paris possibly between 1889-1898.
