    Official / First Watermark 1914/20: Sideface 1 d. carmine-red, wmk. Crown over A, perf. 14¼ x 14, Cooke printing on War Savings paper, punctured large "OS / NSW", an unused vertical pair, variety "Imperforate between Stamp and Margin" at base, of good colour and large part og. A rarity, without the "OS / NSW" just three examples are known, two contained in a block of four used in Mackay, Queensland in March 1915 and one mint example of this variety which is illustrated in Brusden White on page 4/81; this being the sole example known punctured "OS/NSW" although the variety would have come from a strip of six, this item illustrated in Brusden White on page 4/107.
