    1853: Prepaid cover from Perth initially addressed to Hobart Town, Van Diemen's Land and re-addressed back to Swan River on arrival, prepaid '4d.' in red manuscript and struck with "♛ / GENERAL / POST OFFICE / PERTH" handstamp in red with oval framed "♛ / WESTERN AUSTRALIA / PAID" handstamp in red. Reverse with framed Hobart "SHIP LETTER" in black (Sept 18) and mailed back (after application of '8d.' charge in manuscript) to Swan River where charged '4d.' in manuscript for redirection.
