1848 (Sept 19): Entire letter from Cecil Pybus Cooke at 'The Pine Hill' (near Harrow) to Wimmera District, rated '1d.' as a drop letter in manuscript, struck on reverse with two superb strikes of oval "BURN BANK / ♛ / PT. PHILLIP" in black (Sept 23 and Sept 26). Displays werll, a fine and rare entire.rnrnNote: Cecil Pybus Cooke (1813-1895) arrived at Portland in mid-1839 and became a prominent pastoralist. His letter asks the Commissioner to visit Pine Hill to confirm disputed boundaries.
