    Chalons 1868/74: 1 d. deep orange-vermilion in a horizontal strip of three with single 6 d. green, used on 1874 Dodgson correspondence cover to Putney, London endorsed "per First Steamer", tied by "79" numeral obliterator of Boolburra with late usage of the "GAINSFORD / QUEENSLAND" cds (Dec 18) below. Reverse with Rockhampton transit and London arrival (March 1, 1875). Illustrated in "Numeral Cancellations" and illustrated and listed in the Ben Palmer Queensland census on page 216.
