    Recess by Perkins Bacon 1859 (April 23): 9 d. purple-brown on white paper, wmk. Star, imperforate, the splendid unused example of fresh colour with good to large margins all round, of lovely appearance for this famous stamp; fresh and extremely fine, without gum. A spectacular example of an immensely rare stamp of which less then 20 survivied in unused condition. Cert. BPA (2021) Gi = £ 60'000.rnProvenance: Collection Alfred H.
