    Late fee mailing to the United Kingdom 1869 (July 8): Cover from Paris to London, bearing Napoléon laureated 20 c. blue type II and 80 c. rose, fine adhesives with fresh colour, tied by Étoile de Paris mute obliterator. Octagonal "PARIS (60) 3e / 8 JUIL. 69" despatch cds and framed "P.D." as well as an erroneously struck framed "P.P.", all in black and "LONDON EC PAID 9 JY 69" arrival cds in red alongside. A most interesting usage of outmost rarity as letters of the third exceptional collection 'levée exceptionelle' are nearly unknown, here sent in addition abroad.rnNote: For each 15 min after the final date of collection a fee of 20 c. had to be paid in addition to the normal postage, in this case three times 20 c. plus the normal 1855 rate to the United Kingdom of 40 c., in total 100 c.
