    Issued at Old Calabar 1893 (Dec): 'HALF / PENNY' in vermilion on Great Britain 2½ d. purple on blue, an unused se-tenant horizontal pair, with first stamp Gibbons Type 9 handstamped surcharge in vermilion, right hand stamp surcharged Gibbons Type 4 in carmine, of fresh rich colour and merest trace of speckles from red blotting paper utilised to store the stamps on large part og.
