    Issued at Old Calabar 1893 (Dec): 'HALF / PENNY' in vermilion on Great Britain 2½ d. purple on blue, an unused horizontal pair, corner marginal from lower right of sheet, with Gibbons Type 9 handstamped surcharge in vermilion (60 stamps issued) and, in margin, Gibbons Type 3 surcharge struck in green. Creased between the stamps (previously displayed showing the right hand stamp only), minor bend affects left stamp and speckles from red blotting paper utilised to store the stamps and some black paper remains on part og.
