    1858 (July 21): Bull's Head 54 parale blue on green horizontally laid paper, the famous example with hexagonally cut large clear margins all round, used on 1858 entire letter to Jassy tied by bold strike of circular GALATZ / MOLDOVA datestamp (17/9) in blue (Kiriac fig. 277). Neat JASSY / MOLDOVA arrival datestamp (19/9) in red (Kiriac fig. 279) displaying well on reverse. A few creases to the entire, but the adhesive of lustrous rich colour. Illustrated in Heimbüchler Handbook I on page 323, internally handstamped Marcus Silbermann, Galatz. Rare and most appealing cover - the sole recorded example cut this way used on cover, octagonally cut examples of the 54 pa. are recorded on cover from Dorohoi and on piece used at Waslui. Cert.
