    1864: Registered and prepaid entire letter from Jassy to Roman, struck on despatch with fine JASSY / MOLDOVA datestamp (2/4) in black (Kiriac fig. 292) and rare oval framed 'FRANCO / JASSY / 235 Lei / 20 Par' handstamp in black with rate in manuscript (Kiriac fig. 1483). Reverse with 'Roman / Moldova' arrival datestamp (3/4) in black. Sympathetic repair at top of entire but extremely scarce.
