    1866 (April 14): Cover franked at double rate by vertical pair of US 1861/66 24 c. greyish violet tied by segmented cork cancels, with red "N.YORK AM. PKT" cds on front; readdressed on arrival in London (May 1) with GB 1863 6 d. pl. 5 and 1 s. green pl. 4, perfs somewhat trimmed, and forwarded to Vienna. Oval cachet on reverse "Forwarded By / J.S.Morgan & Co./London" struck in green with Vienna arrival (May 4) alongside. Despite the minor imperfections, a scarce and most attractive cover.
