1757 (March 4): Entire letter, weak folds, mailed by Texel Post from Oosterend to Amsterdam, struck with circular "A/T-P" handstamp in black (Amsterdam Texelese Post) for 6 stuyvers to pay (Korteweg 5). Addressee's name erased but a fine strike of this rare marking.

1720 (Jan 13): Entire letter from Leeds to Brussels, struck in transit with circular "PD", with superb London Bishop Mark displaying well on flap "15/IA" in black. Obverse also bears manuscript "Pd 4." (stuyvers) on receipt. A fine entire with notation of answer on reverse '26 Feb 1720'.
1717 (May 31): Entire letter from Ehrenbreitstein near Coblenz to Nancy 'en loraine', endorsed 'en diligence' at top and "Fco. Trier" at base. Reverse flap with manuscript "Dieser brief ist recommandir an alle Herren Postmeister" displaying well, rated '6' sols due to pay upon receipt.
Postage due 1871/78: Typography 60 c. blue/dark blue, 54 stamps incl. six blocks of four, strips and pairs, some marginal, in unused or unmounted og condition. Interesting study reconstituting the nearly complete sheet of 50 including some overlap Yvert = € 5'900+ following the consignor.

1923/40: Collection on cards and loose with Jan 1938 Charity Miniature sheets with 10 examples unused (Mi = € 600), June 1938 Miniature sheet unused (4), Jan 1939 Miniature sheet with unused 8 examples (Mi = € 880), June 1939 Parnu Miniature sheets unused (5 = € 200), and further unused sets from 1923 onwards. Incoming Mail 1572/1796: Lot six entire letters including three letters from the Corsini correspondence (1572/87) from Hamburg, Nürnberg and Augsburg to London together with three letters from England into Germany (1781/96) showing manuscript "D'angleterre" in red as well as "D'ANGLETERRE" in black.
1891 (May 1): 3 r. 50 k. black & grey and 7 r. black & yellow, each on horizontally laid paper, each in superb unused corner marginal blocks of four, fresh colours and superb unmounted og. Rare thus Mi = € 1'200+.
1744 (Aug 14): Entire "King's Letter" from Stockholm by sea to Andres Wigelius, Gut Plackmann (about 20 miles from Port Kunda, Estonia), the front panel decorated with Meander and seven "Crowns" in manuscript. Extremely rare.

1775 (April 13): Entire letter from Warsaw to Peter de Thier in Leipzig, with manuscript '10' charge at upper right and annotated in Leipzig on arrival with manuscript "W" (Warsaw) alongside and '5' due in groschen in red ink. Scarce and fine.
1934: 100th anniversary of the Czech national anthem, both values 1 kc brown-lilac and 2 kc cobalt blue, both in compl. miniature sheets of 15 on carton paper, unused without gum as issued. Signed Gilbert Mi = € 950.
1804 (22. Sept.): "5e Jour Comp.re 12" 5th complementary day in the year 12 of the French Republican Calender, a fine clear strike in red of this scare Paris arrival mark on reverse of entire lettersheet from Bordeaux.

Russia to to the Netherlands 1668 (Sept. 30): Entire letter with full content in Dutch, sent presumably from Moscow to Amsterdam as the text mentions the Big Fire of Moscow during the Moscow uprising, when the White City and Kitai-gorod was burned down.
1628/1805: Selection 30 entire letters from and to the Netherlands, incl. Mantova Exchange office (8), Incoming mail from Spain (2) and Portugal (2) as well as Bishop Mark 'AP-4' on entire letter to Rotterdam ( 1684) as well as letter from Amsterdam to New York (1793).
1856: Coat of arms 10 Kop. blu with large pearls, full margins all around, cancelled by ink cross and part of a large circle of Helsingfors, a nice copy of this rare stamp MI 1/II = € 2'200/Facit = SEK 14'000.
1656 (May 24): Small entire letter from Stockholm to Riga, written in German, beautifully docketed on front panel "Till Riga 24 May Anno 1656", no docketing of rate, mailed just before the commencement of the 'Northern War' with Russia.

Ottoman Posts 1844: Cover with small rectangular registration marking in deep blue struck alongside fine strike of 'An janib-i Shumna' oval negative seal handstamp of despatch (Coles & Walker fig. 65) in blue. Scarce.
