Ricordi, Milano', addressed to the famous Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi in St. Petersburg; with Italian and French transits and Aachen transit cds and Saint Petersburg arrival cds on reverse. Italian Post Offices in Tunisia 1867 (Apr 10): Double rate Entire letter from Tunis to Genova, bearing London printing 1866 10 c. ochre-orange, two horizontal pairs of fresh colour and good perforation, tied in the transit in Cagliari by framed PIROSCAFI POSTALI ITALIANI. The double rate item was franked only for the first rate and therefore taxed with manuscript '8' (décimes).
