Patrolman value was due to be issued in September 1962 alongside the 3 s. (Gi 32), the Stamp Committee deemed the image of an indigenous Patrolman carrying a rifle was unsuitable for the times. 1912 (May): Stamp Duty 1 d. rose-pink, a used horizontal pair on 1914 cover to Wellington, New Zealand, variety: "Overprint Shifted" and reading "Duty. Stamp" on each stamp, tied by 'Daru / Ppapua' cds's (Dec 15). Reverse with further Daru cds, 'Thursday Island / Queensland' cds (Dec 19) and 'Lower Hutt / NZ' (Jan 5, 1915) cds. Some aging and part of flap missing but a great rarity - only one sheet existed with the error and this is the sole recorded usage on letter. Cert.
