1907 (May-June): Small Papua Overprint (Type 4), 1 s. black & orange, wmk. vertical, line perf. 14 on medium paper, a used vertical sheet marginal pair, positions 20/25 on the sheet of 30 subjects, with upper stamp showing the variety: "Overprint Double, One Diagonal", lower stamp with normal overprint, neatly cancelled by 'Port Moresby' datestamp (Jan 10, 1908) in black. An extremely rare pair with just five pairs 'with and without' the error possible. Exceptional exhibition item. Cert. Positions 5, 10, 25 and 28-30 were left untouched by the diagonal overprint; all were cancelled to order except positions 14, 15, 17 and 19.
