Patrolman value was due to be issued in September 1962 alongside the 3 s. (Gi 32), the Stamp Committee deemed the image of an indigenous Patrolman carrying a rifle was unsuitable for the times. One single sheet of 60 stamps in known to have passed into circulation: thus this stamp represents the rarest and most historically significant stamp of the period.
