Up to the present day, the collection of Dr. Hugo Goeggel is probably the most complete and most important collection of the first issues in the history of Colombian philately. The colours used, the lithographic stones, the inverted clichés and the clichés placed by mistake in the incorrect lithographic stones are documented in great detail. In addition, the various cancellations, as well as the extremely rare usages of the early issues of Colombia on letters are included.
