    1919 (Oct 31): Typed notice in French declaring that the Constantinople-Bucharest Airmail Service was to be closed on the following day, largely due to a cyclone in Sept. 1919 and resulting vandalism, together with a fire in October which caused a further 3 million francs worth of damage. The Notice is struck with oval 'Poste Aerienne / Aéronautique / Armées d'Orient / Le Capitaine Bladinieres' cachet at base, and struck at top with the official (thin) type ARMÉES ALLIÉES EN ORIENT / POSTE AÉRIENNE cachet in violet.  Probably unique historical document. Illustrated in G. Sassower's article in the London Philatelist (May 2000) on page 131.
