    1858: 40 pa. blue, a fine example on greyish blue thin wove paper, used on 1860 cover to Galatz, tied by fine strike of framed FRANCO / BERLAD in blue (Kiriac fig. 302) with 'Berlad / Moldova' despatch cds at right (10/9) in blue - the cancellation being a date error for '9/10' as confirmed by the inside of the letter and the 'Galatz / Moldova' arrival cds (11/10) on reverse in red.
