1858: 5 pa. black (Type II) mint, 40 pa. blue (3 examples) mint in varying shades, two being exceptionally fine (one signed Pfenninger) and of bold, bright colour and a third, in greenish blue shade on greyish paper, being somewhat over-inked ; together with 80 pa. vermilion on yellowish paper (2) mint and a used example cancelled in blue. 1865: Cuza 20 pa. red, a fine large margined single example used with a horizontal pair, large margins all round, the right stamp with minor file wrinkle, on double weight registered cover to Bucharest, tied by two strikes of the network grill handstamp in black. 'Tirgovistea' datestamp of despatch at right (July 8) in black (Kiriac fig. 354) and framed RECOMANDAT struck in deep blue. 'Bucuresci' arrival (July 10) on reverse in black (fig. 379). 1868: 18 bani bright red, a fine four margined horizontal pair (Types 8-5) and, on reverse a single example (Type 4), pre-paying the double weight registered rate to Bucharest; with the pair tied by framed RECOMANDAT handstamp in blue and the single cancelled by T. MAGURELLE datestamp (March 22) in black (Kiriac fig. 418). Giurgiu transit cds in blue and Bucuresti arrival (March 26) cds also on reverse. 1919 (Oct 31): Typed notice in French declaring that the Constantinople-Bucharest Airmail Service was to be closed on the following day, largely due to a cyclone in Sept. 1919 and resulting vandalism, together with a fire in October which caused a further 3 million francs worth of damage. The Notice is struck with oval 'Poste Aerienne / Aéronautique / Armées d'Orient / Le Capitaine Bladinieres' cachet at base, and struck at top with the official (thin) type ARMÉES ALLIÉES EN ORIENT / POSTE AÉRIENNE cachet in violet.
