5 c. scarlet. superb large margined example used on 1870 cover from Callao to Lima cancelled by 'Callao' datestamp (July 25) in black with framed 'Lima / Quinta / Distrubucion' alongside in blue. 5 c. pale red, horizontal pair slightly cut in at left, used on 1872 entire letter from Callao to Genova, Italy cancelled by bold strike of the British P.O. in Callao "C38" obliterator in black, with Callao datestamp (Jan 28) on reverse. Thence via Panama, Southampton and London (Feb 26) datestamp in red to Genova (March 1). On arrival the cover was incorrectly charged with '17' (1 lire 70 centesemi) but this was deleted and '23' in manuscript inserted. The corresponding amount being charged and paid with Postage Due 1870 30 c. and 2 lire tied on reverse. A dramatic and extremely rare cover, most probably unique with the 'Trencito' usage. Cert. 1894 (May 1): Cover from Caxamarca to Hualgayoc franked on front and back with 1884 Postage Due 10 c. orange optd. Triangle in black (five on front and five on reverse) all tied by large 'Admon. Pral De Correos / Cajamarca' datestamps in black.
