    Austrian Post Offices in Romania. 1844/65: The collection on leaves (16 covers and a piece), with 1840 disinfected entires to Vienna with scarce straight line JASSY handstamp in black, 1837, 1840 and 1843 covers struck with BUKUREST straight line used to Paris, London or Genoa and disinfected at Rothenturn, 1850 covers from JASSY with two line dated handstamp in black (both are disinfected), one to Hermannstadt and one to Paris; 1855 Military cover with K.K. FELDPOSTAMT No. 1 datestamp applied in Bucharest and mailed to Schio, Venezia; 1862 cover with 'Bucarest / Früh' cds, 1863 entire with 'Jassy' cds in blue, Austrian Levant 1864 15 s. brown pair on piece tied by 'Bucarest' cds etc. Condition very fine, an excellent lot.

    1846/62: Lot seven prephilatelic/stampless covers, incl. three outer letter sheets/entires with Wallachian two line cancellers with cyrillic writing from Beket, Karakalu and Kraiova (Kiriac type PV53), three stampless covers ex offo and one 1846 cover from Kronstadt, Austrian at that time. Nice group, six covers signed Heimbüchler.

Frumos datestamp), thereafter complete with much duplication, 1866 5 b. mint (3), 20 pa. on attractive cover to Jassy, 1870 3 b. violet pair with framed "Franco" in blue, 1872 50 b . mint (2) and used (4), extensive 1872 Paris issues etc., a fine lot with much to sort and appraise.
