    Germany 1921: Handstamped "A" (Type 1) in black on 20 c. red brown, a single and fine used horizontal pair showing variety imperforate between vertically tied to 1923 flown front of cover from Elberfeld by SCADTA / BARRANQUILLA cds's in red; with Inflation franking of 22.5 million marks made up of 2 m. on 200 m. carmine (10) and single 500'000 m. brown all tied by despatch cds's (Oct 13) in black which also ties "Par Avion / Barranquilla-Neiva" label at lower left. Extremely rare - the sole recorded usage of the imperforate between variety on letter.
    Note: From September 1, 1923 Scadta and Reichspost issues were authorised as mixed frankings on departure.

    Argentina & Uruguay & Brazil 1923 Scadta 2 pesos orange, the vertical pair handstamped "A-U." in black (Type 2, 6.5mm) on upper stamp and "Br." in black on lower stamp (Type 1), of fine appearance, upper stamp with crease and without gum and ageing between, but a great rarity with just two such pairs recorded.     Costa Rica 1923 Scadta 30c. blue with handstamped Consular "C.R." overprint in black, variety surcharge doubled, used on 1926 cover endorsed "Por Correo Hidroavion" with Costa Rica 1921 10 c. carmine tied in violet at San José (Oct 15), the Scadta 30 c. tied by "Servicio De Transportes Aereo Scadta / Barranquilla" cds (Oct 25) in black, thence flown on to Medellin. A remarkable cover, the sole recorded "Surcharge Double" used on cover from any Consular Agency.

    United States 1921: Scadta 30 c. green pair handstamped "E.U." in violet (Type 1, 6½mm.) used on 1923 double rate cover from Boston with USA 2 c. carmine horizontal pair all cancelled by SCADTA / BARRANQUILLA datestamps in red (June 23). Backstamped at Bogotá (June 26). An unusual cover as there are no Colombia stamps present and the cover should have travelled via Gonzalo Mejia in New York for shipping as an enclosure. Slightly trimmed at left but a remarkable and attractive usage.

Reverse of cover with Medellin, (June 5) datestamp in blue. Scarce and fine cover.

    United States 1923/28 Scadta 30 c. blue with machine overprint "EU" in black and USA Washington 2 c. carmine, each tied to 1929 cover to Bogotá by six line blue cachet "Vuelo / NEW YORK-BOGOTA / Aereoplano "RICUARTE" / piloto: Benjamin Mendez / Suscripcion evantada por  / "MUNDO-AL-DIA" 1929" in blue with repeated fine strike below. The Pilot, Benjamin Mendez left New York on November 23, arriving in Colón (Panama) on December 1, in Barranquilla on Dec 30 and at Girardot on the same day. The flight was beset by problems and thus reached Bogotá only on January 2, 1929. There were just 25 letters carried. Rare.

Josef Sonntag in Cali/Colombia franked with Zeppelin stamp 4 RM tied by Friedrichshafen machine cancel (15.5.) showing special delay cachet in red alongside to New York (Aug. 5) sent by ship mail to Colombia and despatched for Scadta with machine overprint EU on 20 c. grey on front plus additional 6 c. franking on reverse, all tied by "SERVICIO TRANSPORTES AEREOS CALI 23.VIII.29" cds., only few covers with and without Scadta franking known.

Scadta in Barranquilla franked with Zeppelin issue 2 x 2RM blue plus 4 RM brown, tied by "Friedrichshafen 18.5.30 17-18" cds. and sent via New York to Havanna/Cuba (June 2), then ship mail to Barranquilla (16. VI.) and despatched to Bogota showing "SERVICIO AEREO SCADTA GIRARDOT 17.VI.1930" cds. and Bogota arrival mark (18. VI.) on reverse Sieger = EUR 600/Frankatur Mi = EUR 1'300).

Ribon Express delivery stamp in red (irreg. perfs.), all tied by "Malmö 1 Luftpost 19.3.32 8.9" cds.'s and sent by 'connection flight Berlin' via Friedrichshafen to Pernambuco (23.III.), ship mail to New York (20.4.) and forwarded by air via Atlanta and Miami (21.4.) to SCADTA at Barranquilla (25.IV.) and   backstamped in Bogota (26.IV) on reverse. Rare combination cover without Scadta franking from Sweden.
