Signed Bottacchi.rnNote: Camillo Paolo Filippo Giulio Benso, conte di Cavour, di Cellarengo e di Isolabella, (1810 - 1861) was an Italian politician and noble, and a leading figure in the movement towards Italian unification. He was prime minister of the Kingdom of Piedmont–Sardinia, a position he maintained (except for a six-month resignation) throughout the Second Italian War of Independence and Giuseppe Garibaldi's campaigns to unite Italy. In 1855 and from May 1856 until the foundation of the Kingdom of Italy Cavour was also Minister of Foreign affairs. After the declaration of a united Kingdom of Italy, Cavour took office as the first prime minister of Italy.

Backflap and seals missing, nevertheless an exceptional item bearing 20 centesimi single letter rate with additional 40 centesimi registration fee, the two corresponding adhesives cancelled with the respective handstamps.
