1902: De La Rue composite Essay for the Master Die Proof of the Edward VII issue, head-plate photographically reproduced in brown, the balance of the Essay entirely hand-painted and mounted in sunken card (65 x 81 mm.), with perforations, Crown and background and LAGOS in black, POSTAGE and REVENUE in Chinese white, with yellow wash applied over lower lettering and Duty Plate.
