    1767/1770c.: Entire letter, sadly undated, from Cadiz to Buenos Ayres struck with superb strikes of condensed "ESPÑA" handstamp and "3. DE PLATA" both in red; mailed between members of the Basabilbaso family, Manuel Basabilbaso became the Administrator of the 'Correo Maritimo' in Buenos Ayres in 1766. A wonderful and rare entire.

    1820 (Feb 12): Entire letter from Buenos Aires to Glasgow endorsed 'via Rio de Janeiro', struck with fine step type DOVER / SHIP LETTER in black (Robertson S9). Carried on the 'Trafalgar' and rated 1/10½ d. due to pay (Ship Letter 8d.+ 477 miles = 1/2d. + Wheel Tax ½d.) upon arrival in Glasgow (July 6). A fine entire.

    1869 (Feb 12): Cover from Buenos Aires to Essen, Prussia struck with circular BUENOS AYRES / PAK. FR. K No. 1 datestamp in black (Salles fig. 1037) and carried on the "Aunis" to Montevideo. Fair strike of framed "F.48" Prussian Convention Accountancy marking in black (Salles 3188, Van Der Linden fig. 1184) applied in Paris. Reverse with Aachen transit cds in blue (March 21) and Essen arrival cds in black and rated '8' in manuscript to pay. A scarce and fine entire.
