    1873/80: Great Britain 4 d. sage-green pl. 16 used on 1880 cover to Hong Kong, China tied by "Lynn / 488" duplex in black (May 20), underpaid and struck with "T" marking and two line VALUE OF STAMPS "4" / SUM TO BE COLLECTED "2" (pence). Reverse showing routing via Singapore on the "Ancona" with fine "SINGAPORE / TO HONG KONG" cds (June 17) in black. Some trivial edge wear due to journey but a charming and rare cover.

    1877: Envelope endorsed "via Amoy" addressed to Hong Kong  and probably written from Foochow, showing "HONG KONG" code A cds of arrival on front (July 23) in black. Struck with superb "2d" due marking alongside - believed to be one of less than a handful known. One minor spike hole in face panel but very rare.

    1917: Overprinted CHINA 10 c. ultramarine, used on complete "Avis de Réception" form (220 x 260 mm.), headed "Administration de Grande Bretagne Bureau de Shanghai", tied by oval "REGISTERED / SHANGHAI B.P.O." datestamp (Nov 4, 1918) in blue. London registered oval arrival below (Dec 21) in red. The form folded but displays well, an extremely rare usage.

    1862/35: Collection in an album with better sets and values, predominatly used, incl. 1882/63 no wmk 2 c. to 48 c., 1863 wmk Crown CC to 96 c., both issues with some duplication, condition varies but mainly with clear 'B 62' cancels in black and blue, 1882/96 issues with better cancellations as 'Hankow', 'Canton' and 'Shanghai' cds's, 1891 $1 on 96 c. purple/red (2), Hong Kong 1891 Jubilee issue used/unused, 1903 issue up to $1 with additional $10 used. A fine valuable offer with  three covers to Switzerland and one to Germany.
