    1868/70: Prince Carol New Currency Issue 18 bani vermillion, a fine and fresh example with good to large margins on cover from Targu Magurele to Giurgiu, tied by framed RECOMANDAT handstamp (Kiriac 1587) in blueish black. Crisp "T.MAGURELLE" cds (8/10) at right, reverse with GIURGIU arrival cds (10/10). The registration fee was paid with another 18 bani stamp on reverse which was torn away, however an attractive cover from its front side showing the attractive and scarce usage of the registration handstamp to obliterate the stamp. rnProvenance: Köhler sale 249 (Feb. 1986), lot. 5328.
