    1869: King Carol 'without beard' 25 bani orange & blue and 50 bani blue & red, two fresh and fine example with fair to enormous margins incl. parts of neighbouring stamps, on entire letter from Ibraila to the well-known grain dealer Savine in Marseille, tied by crisp "BRAILA 16/12 SERA" cds in black, framed "P.D." and postal treaty handstamp "A." alongside. Front with French entry cds in blue, reverse with Paris Gare de Lyon transit cds (24 DEC 69). Attractive item and franking, paying the April 1869 rate to France.
