1844 (Jan 22): Entire letter from the US Consul in Curaçao addressed to the US Consul in La Guayra, with manuscript Forwarding Agent on reverse "Pto. Cabello 31 Jan 1844, Forwarded by your most obedient servant, Wm. Mann", with double arc datestamp of British P.O. in PORTO-CABELLO in red (Jan 31) and manuscript 'Paid 1/-' with superb strike of "♚ / PAID / AT / PORTO-CABELLO" in red. 1877 (Oct 3): Entire letter, illustrated with 'Botica Boliviana' inside, mailed from Ciudad Bolivar to Paris struck with perfect impression of circular CIUDAD BOLIVAR / PAID datestamp (latest recorded usage in Parmenter & Gordon) struck in red (Oct 3) with manuscript '1/½d.' prepaid. "Ship Letter / Paid / London" datestamp (Oct 29) at right and Paris arrival (same day) on reverse. Carried at 1 s. rate + 2½d. to France less 1d. Colonial credit, a superb entire. 1874 (Sept 7): Great Britain 1865 4 d. vermilion pl. 13 used on 1874 cover from La Guayra to Vera Cruz, Mexico tied by bold strike of the "C60" obliterator with single ring "La-Guayra" cds alongside (Sept) in black.
