    1844 (Jan 22): Entire letter from the US Consul in Curaçao addressed to the US Consul in La Guayra, with manuscript Forwarding Agent on reverse "Pto. Cabello 31 Jan 1844, Forwarded by your most obedient servant, Wm. Mann", with double arc datestamp of British P.O. in PORTO-CABELLO in red (Jan 31) and manuscript 'Paid 1/-' with superb strike of "♚ / PAID / AT / PORTO-CABELLO" in red. Small fault at base but choice and very rare Gi = £ 3'500.
