1841 (Dec 30): Entire letter from Santo Domingo to London, the ship blown off course and struck with fancy framed "CUBA" oval handstamp in black, landed in Ireland with "COVE" datestamp (Feb 9, 1842) in black. Dublin diamond transit and London arrival cds in red (Feb 12) on reverse, where rated '2/3d.' to pay in manuscript. 1880: Composite Proof sheet on thin paper printed in blue, the upper three horizontal rows with 1 peso, 10 c., 5 c., 2 c. and 1 c. values; the lower two rows with 1 peso, 75 c., 50 c., 25 c. and 20 c. values.
