    1881: 40 c. brown on white postal stationery envelope, H&G B9, a used example sent registered to Germany, cancelled by oval framed FRANCO with 'Correos / Puerto Plata' cds (Dec 23, 1890) and registration handstamp all in blue. New York registration label on front and reverse with New York transit (Jan 9, 1891) and Dusseldorf arrival cds (Jan 22). A very scarce envelope used.
