    1865: Entire letter from Buenos Aires to Hannover endorsed 'via Bordeaux' struck with octagonal Paquebot "CONF. ARGENTINE / SAINTONGE" datestamp (Jan 12) in black (Salles fig. 1030), with fair strike of scarce framed "F / 39" Convention marking in black (Van der Linden fig. 1174). Reverse with 'Aus Frankreich / per Aachen' transit in blue (Feb 20) and Asendorf cds in blue of the following day.

    Buenos Aires 1862: Liberty 2 p. blue, two examples with large margins all round used on 1863 cover to Corrientes tied by ‘Buenos Aires’ cds (July 12) in blue, carried by River Steamer endorsed ‘p. Paraguari’ at lower left and further endorsed at top ‘Con un Paquete de Periodicos’ (with a Packet of Newspapers) which explains the high rate.     1892: "Valores Postales Argentinos", the near complete book with purple on gold cover, with the explanation of the printing process for the definitive issue of 1892/95 with a page (numbered 3-51) for each stamp from the ½ c. dull blue - 5 p. dark blue all overprinted MUESTRA (Specimen) diagonally in black; and postal stationery wrapper ½ c., 1 c., 2 c., 4 c.,  postal card 4 c., 6 c., 6 c. + 6 c., letter-card 3 c., 4 c., envelope 5 c. (two sizes) all similarly overprinted MUESTRA. A very scarce volume.

    1932 (Feb. 27): Crash cover from  Setiba (Brazil) sent from Argentina to Paris, stamps floated off, bearing on reverse official special cachet: Accident d'Avion Correspondances recueillies en mer / NE PAS TAXER in black, sealed in Paris and backstamped "Paris Rebuts de la Seine 21-3 32" Nierinck 320227a.

    1938 (June 19): Registered envelope from "Buenos Aires 17. Jun.38" to Caracas, Venezuela sent via Santiago de Chile and crashed at Panagra showing special cachet: Correspondencia recuperada del avion Panagra P-30, perdido en Chile en vuelo en la Cordillera de los Andes el 19 de Junio de 1938, Santiago de Febrero de 1941 in violet. The wreck was discovered more than two years later, rare. Nierinck 380619b = CHF 440.

    1858/1870: Lot several hundred stamps used/unused, mainly small values and plenty of duplicats, issue of 1852 showing a large number of reprints, some blocs of four as well as a few cards and covers can be found, good to mixed condition and housed in one album and in two stockbooks.
