    1858/75: Lot ten used stamps and two pieces with large margins or very good perfs., fresh colours, incl. 1858 10 kop. brown & blue imperf., plate I, a large right marginal example with prephilatelic two-line datestamp, plate II, two examples with '354' and '520' rectangular dotted numerals of Olgopol and Belev, respectively, 1858 perf 14½ x 15 10 kop. brown & blue with Taurogen oval dotted numerals (2), 20 kop. blue & orange with '81' triangular dotted numeral in blue of Tagaiskaya, 1866 3 kop. black & green with 'V' underprint on piece, and 1875 20 kop. blue & orange showing plate flaw 't' instead of 'T'. An interesting and fine group, all signed Ferchenbauer.

    1842/56: Entire letters (2), earlier 1848 entire from Odessa to Messina, with Odessa despatch datestamp in black on reverse, mailed via Triest and Venice where struck with "Transito / per l'Austria" in blue (Van Der Linden fig. 2821). Disinfected in Messina on arrival with slits and evidence of toasting, handstamped with "Ferdinando II - Dep. Ne. Sanitaria / Di Prima Classe / Di Messina" in black. Second 1856 entire from Ancona to Odessa with oval 'Magistrato Centrale / di Sanita in / Ancona' in black mailed via Triest (Dec 3) and Brody (Dec 7). Scarce pair.

    RSFSR 1922 (March 25): Registered Inflation cover from Elisavetgrad to Berlin, bearing part sheets of the 1921 definitive issue 250 r. grey violet incl. gutter pairs, in total 120 stamps cancelled by "ELISAVETGRAD 25 3 22" with corresponding registration handstamp alongside. Usual wear but an impressive correct franking of 15'000 r. for the postage abroad and 15'000 r. for the registration in the rate of March 1st, 1922.
