    1863/71: 4 c. grey, wmk. Crown CC, the extraordinary mint block of 56, wing marginal at left, with the upper horizontal row showing some hinge remnants and the lower horizontal row with some minor perforation faults, otherwise of fresh colour and full original gum, a fine multiple of great rarity Gi = £ 7'840.

    1896: Cover to Kowloon, addressee's name erased, struck at upper left with square framed "HAINAN LAND POST / SAMAH" handstamp in violet with manuscript date inserted (4.9.96), unusally without the circular Samah cachet. Reverse with "CUSTOMS / KIUNGCHOW" cds (Sept 9) in black and obverse with Hong Kong 5 c. pale blue tied by fair Hong Kong datestamps (Sept 11).  A rare Local Post cover.

Hug, Canton, China on reverse), mailed to Zurich, Switzerland and franked by Hong Kong 1900 10 c. blue tied by oval "FORWARDED BY / Reiss & Co. / HONG KONG" in red, and by "Hong Kong" cds (Nov 19) in black. Carried on French Paquebot "Tonkin" with octagonal "Ligne N / Paq. Fr. No. 4" datestamp on reverse, with Zurich arrival (Dec 19) alongside. A fresh and fine cover.     1905: Cover from USA to Canton / China, franked by Lincoln 5 c. blue cancelled at Nottingham, Pa. (Oct 18), the cover was mailed via Victoria / Hong Kong (Nov 21) to British P.O. in "CANTON" (Nov 22) and thence returned as the addressee was not found, to Hong Kong. Struck there with further Victoria / Hong Kong cds (Nov 24) and also a fine strike of framed "Hong Kong / D.L.O." (Dead Letter Office) in black and returned to sender via Seattle. A rare marking.

Well struck impression of framed "R / AMOY B.P.O." at left and reverse showing two complete "H.B.M.Consulate / Amoy" red wax seals. An attractive and scarce cover.
