    1800/1830c.: Collection of Prepaid handstamps of France with Department numbers, from P1P / BOURG struck in red to 1811 entire with P87P / GENES in red, with 61 covers/entire letters, most bearing fine to very fine strikes. Prepaid mail of the Napoleonic and post-war period is considerably scarcer than unpaid. A fine and  scarce collection.
