    Civil War / District of Chiclayo 1884: Covers bearing provisionally overprinted adhesives (2) and a stampless cover, with March 1884 cover bearing 5 c. blue optd. FRANCA in black used from Huaraz to Lima at the newly introduced 5 c. rate, toned vertical pair of 5 c. blue overprinted FRANCA in oval in black used on January 1885 cover to Lima tied by circular 'Receptoria del Puerto de Etén / Correos del Peru' (illustrated in Moll on page 110) and October 1884 stampless cover cancelled at S. PEDRO in black to Callao with straight line FRANCA handstamp above. Scarce group.
