    1874/84: 'Inflation Rate' cover from Lima to Paris franked at 162 centavos rate with 2 c. violet-blue, 10 c. green, 50 c. deep green and 1 soö rose-red all tied by 'Lima / Principal' datestamps (Oct 22, 1879) in black and by Paris cds in blue (Nov 26). Reverse with 'New York / Panama Transit' duplex (Nov 14). A few cover imperfections but an extremely rare 6 times rate cover at the increased tariff of 27 centavos, in use from April to December 1879 only: the sole recorded example and unique.
