    1860: 1 d. blue, a magnificent used horizontal pair with sheet margin at right, the right hand stamp showing background lines interrupted at top leaving an almost totally blank area, from positions 19 and 20 on the Transfer block of 20, with pos. 20 showing retouched 'O' in 'Porte' and 'CO' in 'Franco'; used on October 29, 1862 cover from Paita to Lima tied by two bold strikes of PAITA handstamps in red (Lamy & Rinck fig. 1).
