1780/1860c.: The collection of Lima Postal History (73 items), with Colonial period 1788 printed Postal Notice, six Colonial fronts struck with LIMA handstamps in red rated at 10½, 22, 42, 47½, 80 and 84½ reales all to Chiloe (two endorsed 'Verrey' (freom the Viceroy of Peru), 'Por El Rey' front to Chiloe with both LIMA and CONCEPCION / DE CHILE handstamps in red, farmed '2½' and '3' rate markings in red, reg'd front to Cuzco with 'CERTIFICACION A LIMA in red, later Republic period handstamps of LIMA in red, black and in blue, unframed handstamped rate markings in red, black or blue for 1, 1½, 2½, 3, 3½ and 4 reales, 1850's covers with framed, unframed or circular VAPOR markings in blue (14), 1858 mail from Great Britain franked at 2 s. rate struck with framed 'MZ' handstamps on reverse, condition varies but mostly fine to very fine strikes of seldom offered material.Starting bid : 600 CHFHammer price : 650 CHF
