    1850: 5 c. yellow-orange, 15 c. red-vermillion type III on machine paper, and 30 c. redish brown type II on machine paper (3), 15 c. touched on top left, otherwise fine to large margins, fresh colours, tied by "BRESCIA 15 APR 57" cds's to entire letter with "PD", "VIA DI CHIASSO", postal treaty mark "7/A.E.D." in oval, and French entry  "AUTRICHE 18 AVRIL 57 Beau FR DE BALE" cds, all in red alongside, sent to Troyes with French railway and arrival cds's (20 AVRIL 57) on reverse. Three-colour franking up to 0.5 loth via Sardinia and Switzerland with 30 c. for Lombardia, 20 c. for Sardinia and 60 c. for France, a rare and appealing item. Cert. E.
