    1897 (July): Provisional '4 Millièmes' handstruck surcharge in blue on 5 m. rose-carmine, a used vertical pair cancelled at Halfa, lower stamp defective, each struck with this rare surcharge which was later brought in to use again in July 1899 when the foreign postcard rate was reduced to 4 millièmes, the pair accompanied by the '4 Millièmes' in black on 5 m. carmine postal stationery card. Very rare Nile Post S9 = $ 1'000.
