    Cover to the British Consul in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia franked by Great Britain 1865 6 d. lilac, pl. 5 (Gi. 97) tied by 'Bath / 53' duplex in black (April 26), with faint British P.O. in Suez cds at right in blue. Transferred to the Egyptian P.O. for onward transmission by the British Consul in Suez and franked by 1866 1 pi. claret tied by bold POSTE VICE-REALI EGIZIANE / SUEZ datestamp (May 21) in black with repeated strike alongside. A splendid and extremely rare usage with just four or five combination covers known from this correspondence of which only two, perhaps three, are in such fine quality.
