    1876: First Formula card used with 1871/75 Cérès 15 c. bistre-brown tied by superb 5080 gros chiffres with 'Alexandrie / Egypte' cds below (April 1). Marseille arrival cds on reverse, scuff mark at lower left corner but a rare usage; also an 1879 usage of the Formula card with Type Sage 15 c. blue tied by 'Alexandrie' cds.
