    1865: Combination cover to Bordeaux with POSTE VICE-REALI EGIZIANE / CAIRO cds (Government Post period) in blue of despatch (July 8), transferred to French P.O. and franked by 1862 10 c. bistre, single and strip of four, all tied by 5080 gros chiffres of Alexandria in black. Bordeaux arrival cds (July 17) on reverse of a scarce cover: this type of combination can only exist between April and December 1865.
